Geometry in Art
Brochure Design

Overview
An educational booklet titled La géométrie au service de l'art ("Geometry in the Service of Art"), subtitled "The harmony of shapes and lines". It explains how geometry shapes art, from composition principles to art movements and contemporary practice.
Process
01 · Cover
The title is set in bold uppercase across overlapping rounded bands of orange, teal, yellow and green, like routes on a transit map, and the "O" of "GÉOMÉTRIE" becomes a solid dark circle. That palette of warm orange, mustard, lime, deep teal and cream carries through the whole booklet.
02 · Content and layout
Each section opens with a large heading and subtitle, continues with short entries led by bold key terms, and closes with a tip or fun-fact callout.
- Geometric art: shapes and structures at the heart of creation, the rule of thirds and the golden ratio, with a "Did you know?" on Renaissance perspective.
- Art movements: Islamic art, Cubism, De Stijl and Op art, with a tip for spotting the dominant shapes in a painting.
- Variable geometry: geometry in contemporary architecture and design, digital art and street art, with a fun fact on land art.
03 · Illustrations
Each spread has its own geometric illustrations that echo its content: impossible 3D shapes, a checkerboard band, overlapping circles and leaf forms, polygon mosaics, and an interlocking star pattern that nods to Islamic art.
