01 · Moodboard

The moodboard is built on three words: Dracula, mort (death) and cinéma. It brings together a gothic castle against a blood-red moon, a minimalist cloaked silhouette, The Love Witch film poster, a hypnotic red and black spiral, bats crossing a full moon, and flat graphic fangs and red lips. The palette is deep blue, blood red, light grey, black and charcoal.

02 · The poster

• Illustration: a flat, graphic Dracula seen from the nose down, his face split into a grey half and a white half, with a wide fanged grin, a high red-lined collar and a bat-shaped bow tie. Dripping shapes along his head melt into the blue background.
• Texture: worn, scratched paper over the whole poster gives it the feel of a vintage film poster.
• Type: a gothic display face for "DRACULA", with "LE RETOUR" in a light condensed face.
• Tagline: "Le mort ne meurt jamais, il se réveille." ("The dead never die, they wake up.")
